Tasty and Healthy Aaloo Cutlet Recipe for All Occasions
Aaloo cutlet is a popular Indian snack that is made with boiled potatoes, spices, and bread crumbs. This crispy and delicious snack can be served with ketchup or mint chutney. Here's how to make it:
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, add boiled and mashed potatoes, finely chopped onion, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
- Add bread crumbs and corn flour to the mixture and mix again. This will help to bind the mixture and form cutlets.
- Divide the mixture into equal-sized portions and shape them into cutlets or patties.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the cutlets in the pan and fry until they turn golden brown on both sides.
- Once done, remove the cutlets from the pan and place them on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.
- Serve hot with ketchup or mint chutney.
Note:
You can also bake the cutlets in the oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes instead of frying them for a healthier option.
