For Syrup:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/2 tsp rose water
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, add powdered milk, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and ghee. Mix all the ingredients well.
- Add milk little by little and knead the mixture into a soft dough. Make sure the dough is not too sticky.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the syrup. In a saucepan, add sugar, water, cardamom powder, and rose water. Bring it to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves. Turn off the heat and set it aside.

- Heat the oil or ghee in a deep pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, reduce the heat to low and add the dough balls slowly.
- Fry the balls until they turn golden brown in color. Keep stirring occasionally to ensure they are cooked evenly. It takes about 5-7 minutes to cook.
- Once the balls are cooked, remove them from the oil and put them in the syrup. Make sure they are completely submerged in the syrup.
- Let the Gulab Jamuns soak in the syrup for at least an hour before serving.
- Garnish with chopped pistachios or almonds and serve warm or chilled.
